Topi  on   a  Mound

(Damaliscus lunatus)

The topi is another member of the huge antelope family. Heavier-bodied than the impala, it has much smaller horns. (There appears to be some sort of longer-horned animal in the mid-distance behind the topi's rump.) Although this topi appears to be alone, they usually are found in small herds and migrate with the other, much larger herds around the Serengeti circuit.
