Sonoma County — Pine Flat Road
After several months of no imaging activity, I finally got around to dragging the camera up to our place in Sonoma County in March and paid a visit to the Alexander Valley vineyards and Pine Flat Road, which leads directly off Alexander Valley Road. (For some images of this area in April 2005, click HERE.) My timing was very bad this time because most of the mustard, which had been growing in the vineyards 2 weeks earlier, had been cut, and it was too early for much in the way of wildflowers. I did find some of each however, as well as a flock of wild turkeys. I also had one nice sunset while at the house in Windsor. Turkeys imaged with a 100-400 mm lens; all others with a 24-70 mm; all on the Canon 1D mark II. Please scroll down. (Ignore the copyright date of 2007, these images were really taken in March 2008.)
