Wildflowers Along Mines Road - Livermore

The valley floor along Mines Road is prime territory for wildflowers in the spring. I visited on Monday, May 3, 2010. All of the images posted here were taken with my Canon 7D and the 24-70 f/2.8 lens. I used a circular polarizer for most and added the D500 closeup attachment for a few of the closeups. All of the meadows are fenced at the roadside and posted so all the images were taken from the roadside. A tip for drivers: fill your gas tank before leaving Livermore---there are no gas stations on Mines or San Antonio Roads between Livermore and San Jose.
