Hooded Merganser

The crest on this male hooded merganser is up in display mode and with that bright white triangle, no female merganser should have any difficulty in locating him. Imaged at Corte Madera Town Center on 2004-01-25 with Canon digital equipment.
The duck to the far right with the swept back reddish hair-do is the female hooded merganser. Looks like she's got her eye on him!
