Clearly a Great Egret (from his yellow beak and black feet), this is one of our residents of the Corte Madera lagoon in the San Francisco Bay area. Another, closer-up image of a Great Egret here. This image was captured July 18, 2003 with a Canon 10D digital camera and Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS lens. ISO speed was set at 200.
