Greater Yellowlegs
(Tringa melanoleuca)
A type of sandpiper, the Greater Yellowleg is a sometime companion to ducks and egrets as shown below. The images were obtained on a grey, overcast day on Corte Madera Creek with a Canon 10D camera plus Canon 70-200 L IS lens with a 1.4x extender.
