Canada Geese (Branta canadensis)
As usual, there were huge numbers of canada geese in the fields near the ponds when I arrived. (I assume that if I arrived before dawn, they would be in the ponds and fly out at first light.) At some point during my 2 hour stay at the ponds, there was a terrific clatter of geese calling and they flew back into the pond, where I took a few shots. Perhaps the coyote had spooked them.
