Pine Flat Road, Sonoma County
Pine Flat Road overlooks the Alexander Valley, a major wine-growing area in Sonoma County. It winds up through oak and madrone-covered hills for 12 or 15 miles and finally dead-ends. It provides some fine vistas of the valley and in the spring, many meadows filled with wildflowers. The images below were obtained on April 10, 2005. Equipment included my Canon 1D mark II camera and several Canon lenses, plus one Sigma 12-24mm wide-angle lens. Click on any title or thumbnail for a larger view.
