Bear in a Blizzard
This picture perfectly captures the atmosphere during our first outing from the tundra bunkhouse, November 2000. The temperature was 0 F and the wind about 20 mph, giving a wind chill of about -40 F (that's MINUS 40!). This bear wasn't particularly cold, he was just looking for a comfortable place to snooze.
