Comet Machholz 2004/Q2

Machholz 2004 /Q2 is the latest discovery by well-known comet-hunter Don Machholtz. Although the tail was brighter before this image was taken, the head of the comet is still fairly bright (magnitude ~4). The ion tail can just be made out extending from the head down toward the "5" of "2005." The dust tail is at right angles to the ion tail and pointing right but much shorter.
