Comet c/2002 C1 (Ikeya-Zhang), 8 March 2002
This preliminary shot was taken under a partial cloud cover, with the comet very low in the west. The coma is as shown: very condensed and star-like. Faint strands of the long tail can be seen in this image but just barely. I hope the weather is better later in the Spring when the comet is higher early in the morning.
